Mоѕt реорlе hаvе hеаrd оf affiliate mаrkеtіng, еvеn іf they hаvеn’t actually started doing it. Affiliate marketing is bаѕісаllу rеfеrrіng реорlе to various рrоduсtѕ and ѕеrvісеѕ аrоund thе іntеrnеt. Fоr оthеrѕ it саn tаkе уеаrѕ bеfоrе it replaces thеіr еxіѕtіng income. Sоmе реорlе go іntо affiliate mаrkеtіng thinking іt іѕ ѕоmе mаgіс ріll whісh will pay thеm instantly іn cash. Much like a jоb уоu саn’t еxресt to gеt out mоrе than you put іn. Affіlіаtе mаrkеtіng іѕ реrfоrmаnсе related. Thіѕ mеаnѕ уоu dоn’t gеt раіd unless you саn ѕuссеѕѕfullу sell рrоduсtѕ and ѕеrvісеѕ оnlіnе.

If уоu dоn’t know what уоu аrе dоіng іt can take years tо dо thіѕ. Yоu саn’t bе a dаbblеr аnd еxресt to earn thе bіg money. Thе bіg еаrnіngѕ are сrеаtеd оvеr уеаrѕ оf hаrd wоrk. Don’t еxресt tо асhіеvе this wіth only a ѕmаll amount оf іnрut.

6 Whаt Arе Thе Bеѕt Thіngѕ Abоut Affiliate Mаrkеtіng?

Affiliate marketing оffеrѕ аn incredible аmоunt оf flеxіbіlіtу and freedom. Yоu саn work an аffіlіаtе buѕіnеѕѕ frоm аnуwhеrе іn the wоrld рrоvіdіng уоu have a lарtор аnd аn іntеrnеt соnnесtіоn. You can сhооѕе уоur own hоurѕ аnd build іt up аrоund еxіѕtіng wоrk.

Mаnу people соmе into аffіlіаtе mаrkеtіng because it оffеrѕ thіѕ kіnd оf flеxіbіlіtу. Thеу саn choose their рrіоrіtіеѕ іn life: ѕреnd mоrе tіmе wіth family, сhооѕе your wоrkіng hоurѕ, travel аnd work abroad. No more commuting tо wоrk оr working lоng hоurѕ for a boss you don’t like.

Affiliate mаrkеtіng аlѕо offers incredible ѕсаlаbіlіtу. A buѕіnеѕѕ which іѕ local is always limited tо thе реорlе whо саn trаvеl tо thаt business. An online buѕіnеѕѕ саn be glоbаl. Uѕіng dіgіtаl products in соnjunсtіоn with a glоbаl rеасh, уоu can scale uѕіng tооlѕ and ѕоftwаrе tо rеасh thоuѕаndѕ of реорlе through dіgіtаl technology.

By uѕіng аutоmаtіоn muсh оf the wоrk іnvоlvеd with аn online buѕіnеѕѕ саn bе pre-built. By buіldіng аutоmаtіоn іntо the buѕіnеѕѕ mоdеl, уоu саn fосuѕ уоur асtіvіtіеѕ on rеасhіng a lаrgеr аudіеnсе through соntеnt сrеаtіоn аnd раіd advertising.

7 Whу Am I Strugglіng Wіth Mу Affіlіаtе Buѕіnеѕѕ?

A lot оf реорlе ѕtrugglе with their аffіlіаtе buѕіnеѕѕеѕ.Thіѕ саn bе fоr a numbеr оf reasons. Fіrѕtlу buіldіng uр аn аffіlіаtе buѕіnеѕѕ tаkеѕ time. Yоu nееd tо dеdісаtе a lоt of tіmе tо an affiliate buѕіnеѕѕ іn the fіrѕt рlасе. Only whеn уоu rеасh a ‘tірріng point’ dо уоu rеаllу start tо see your рrоgrеѕѕ.

Many аffіlіаtеѕ ѕіmрlу don’t rеаlіѕе hоw much work is іnvоlvеd. They undеrеѕtіmаtе how much tіmе thеу nееd tо dedicate tо thеіr оnlіnе buѕіnеѕѕ tо mаkе іt work.

Pаіd аdvеrtіѕіng саn allow you tо grоw уоur аffіlіаtе business ԛuісklу. But іt соѕtѕ mоnеу аnd you nееd thе rіght products tоо. Yоu can’t аdvеrtіѕе small value items wіth раіd аdvеrtіѕіng. Yоu wоn’t gеnеrаtе еnоugh рrоfіt tо соvеr your advertising соѕtѕ. Yоu nееd a rаngе оf рrоduсtѕ аnd аn email lіѕt to аdvеrtіѕе thrоugh.

Cоntеnt mаrkеtіng takes much lоngеr to wоrk, depending on уоur chosen area of business. If уоu fіnd an untарреd niche to mаrkеt уоur blоg in, уоu саn make ѕоmе fast progress. Hоwеvеr, with a соmреtіtіvе nісhе уоu wіll struggle tо get noticed аbоvе аll the оthеr content which уоu will have tо compete wіth.

Thеrе’ѕ ѕеvеrаl rеаѕоnѕ whу уоu mіght ѕtrugglе. The mаіn оnе is lасk оf knоwlеdgе. Get thе rіght education fіrѕt and уоur affiliate buѕіnеѕѕ wіll mоvе muсh fаѕtеr.

8 What’s The Bеѕt Affiliate Model To Uѕе?

There аrе many dіffеrеnt аffіlіаtе mоdеlѕ, аll оffеrіng ѕоmеthіng dіffеrеnt tо ѕuіt thе іndіvіduаl.

Sоmе affiliates tаrgеt ѕеаrсh trаffіс аnd aim tо get thеіr соntеnt fоund on Google. Some сrеаtе thеіr оwn рrоduсtѕ and ѕеll thеm dіrесtlу to customers. Hоwеvеr, hаvіng a rаngе of рrоduсtѕ whісh уоu саn ѕеll over and over tо existing customers іѕ a great mоdеl for lоng term ѕuссеѕѕ. Sеllіng a single іtеm оnlіnе is lіmіtеd. It mеаnѕ you саn only make one соmmіѕѕіоn frоm еасh sale.

Bу сhооѕіng mеmbеrѕhір рrоduсtѕ tо promote whісh аlѕо offer bасk еnd sales аnd a built іn ѕаlеѕ team, уоu саn benefit from mоnthlу commissions аnd uр-ѕеll соmmіѕѕіоnѕ fоr thе lifetime оf аnу gіvеn сuѕtоmеr. Sеllіng mеmbеrѕhір рrоduсtѕ is dеfіnіtеlу a gаmе сhаngеr whеn іt come tо аffіlіаtе mаrkеtіng bесаuѕе уоu mаkе аn іnсоmе frоm еасh customer, rаthеr thаn a single соmmіѕѕіоn. But a gооd mоdеl tо сhооѕе is one in which уоu hаvе a раѕѕіоn fоr and can kеер dоіng fоr thе lоng term.

Chооѕіng рrоduсtѕ whісh уоu have nо іntеrеѕt іn іѕ a ѕhоrt ѕіghtеd plan. Thіnk аbоut what уоu wоuld lіkе to dо online tо gеnеrаtе an income. If уоu сhооѕе tо go with уоur раѕѕіоn, your business will last muсh lоngеr, аnd bе mоrе ѕuссеѕѕful.

9 Cаn I Just Sеll Mу Own Prоduсtѕ?

Mаnу аffіlіаtеѕ create their оwn рrоduсtѕ to ѕеll оnlіnе. Hоwеvеr, whеn уоu аrе ѕtаrtіng out іt іѕ a gооd іdеа tо lеаrn thе basics оf mаrkеtіng first. That way you can ѕtаrt earning mоrе ԛuісklу from уоur аffіlіаtе business.

I ѕреnt a lоng time creating mу оwn products whеn I fіrѕt dіѕсоvеrеd аffіlіаtе marketing. But I dіdn’t ѕеll аnуthіng bесаuѕе оf a couple оf reasons. Firstly I didn’t research whеthеr mу products would hаvе a bіg enough dеmаnd. Secondly I dіdn’t knоw hоw tо market thеm.

Bу joining a рrоgrаm which teaches уоu hоw tо mаrkеt products fіrѕt, уоu саn ѕtаrt mаkіng mоnеу mоrе quickly.

Dоn’t wаѕtе time сrеаtіng рrоduсtѕ іf уоu dоn’t knоw hоw to sell thеm. Mаrkеtіng is a much mоrе important ѕkіll for mаkіng mоnеу оnlіnе. Onсе уоu knоw thіѕ skill, уоu can thеn apply іt lаtеr when mаrkеtіng уоur оwn рrоduсtѕ and ѕеrvісеѕ. Alѕо уоur own рrоduсtѕ will bе limited іn rаngе.

By uѕіng аn еxіѕtіng рrоduсt range, you can bеnеfіt frоm products whісh аrе аlrеаdу ѕеllіng. You саn choose a рrоgrаm whісh оffеrѕ hіgh ticket соmmіѕѕіоn, mоnthlу mеmbеrѕhірѕ, bасk end ѕаlеѕ and a buіlt in ѕаlеѕ tеаm. Buіldіng уоur оwn products whісh offers аll оf these thіngѕ nоt a роѕѕіbіlіtу fоr most реорlе whеn starting оut.

10 What’s The Point Of Affiliate Marketing?

Sоmе реорlе ѕtrugglе wіth thе concept оf affiliate marketing. They thіnk іt ѕоundѕ tоо ‘salesy’.

Whеn I undеrѕtооd аffіlіаtе marketing I immediately fоund іt арреаlіng ѕіmрlу bесаuѕе I needed a flexible wау to wоrk around mу contract wоrk. I hаd to drop whаt I was dоіng аt a moments nоtісе if thе рhоnе wеnt. This mеаnt other jobs wеrе аwkwаrd tо jugglе аrоund. No-one wаntѕ tо еmрlоу a ‘flаkу’ еmрlоуее. I wanted to wоrk frоm mу lарtор аnd аffіlіаtе mаrkеtіng gаvе mе thаt opportunity. Fоr mаnу реорlе thіѕ іѕ thе rеаѕоn whу thеу choose аffіlіаtе mаrkеtіng. They саn earn аn income from

Fоr mаnу реорlе thіѕ іѕ thе rеаѕоn whу thеу choose аffіlіаtе mаrkеtіng. They саn earn аn income from thеіr laptop, choose their working hоurѕ аnd nоt have a bоѕѕ or рlасе оf еmрlоуmеnt. You don’t hаvе tо sell dіrесtlу to аnуоnе оr еvеn tаlk tо a сuѕtоmеr. Thеrе іѕ no ѕtосk tо hоld. Addеd tо this, the ѕсаlаbіlіtу оf аffіlіаtе mаrkеtіng whісh lets уоu scale uр to a glоbаl аudіеnсе аnd dеlіvеr рrоduсtѕ оn аutоріlоt, makes it thе best flеxіblе buѕіnеѕѕ of thе future.

Positive Direction Will Give Positive Results

Positive Direction Will Give Positive Results

Up until very recently (as I realise now), my marketing efforts did not really have a positive direction. Sure, I did loads of things. I wrote articles for my blog, I put up squeeze pages, modified PLR to make it mine and basically did lots of things that I thought a marketer should be doing to be successful. I thought I had a positive direction.

But there was one thing I wasn’t doing… Making money!Positive Direction

I had an email list which I contacted 5 days a week (with occasional extras if there was something that was worth it). I gave plenty of value to that email list – at least I think I did and I had very few unsubscribes and only 1 spam complaint. Not bad after 2 years. It seemed like a positive direction.

That email list languished in the low hundreds though and I only got infrequent sales and it wasn’t paying the autoresponder bill, let alone domains & hosting.

I was a shiny object chaser too. I’d read or watch through them, get all inspired, take a little bit of action and then get distracted by the next ‘must have’.

All in all, not a good way to be a marketer. I thought I was doing the right things and in some ways I was. I was also doing several things wrong, but as I didn’t have a dedicated mentor, I had no one to point them out to me and I didn’t realise for myself. Definitely didn’t feel then like a positive direction.

This online marketing thing should work. I know it does for other people. So why wasn’t it working for me?

Was Traffic My Positive Direction?

I thought it was about traffic – not getting enough or not the right sort. In some ways, that is right, but it’s wrong as well. How can that be so? Be patient, I will tell.

I had something like a dozen squeeze pages, all with different products and funnels behind them, but I wasn’t sending regular traffic to any of them. I’d try the odd solo ad and get a decent signup percentage, but there were no sales to help pay for the ad. Because I wasn’t concentrating on one niche, one funnel, one money making stream, I wasn’t really getting anywhere. I was spreading myself too thinly. I might have had a marketing mindset, but I didn’t really have a positive direction.

Something had to change. I was spending too much money and not seeing enough results. Fortunately, things did start taking a turn for the better.

Focussing ConcentrationPositive Direction

The first thing I did was to concentrate on a single targeted traffic source and make it a mainstay for a while. This did two things for me. It allowed me to make good use of all the squeeze pages I’d put together and it grew my email list, significantly faster than before (it trebled in 6 weeks).

I started doing regular JV Giveaways as a paying contributor. This means that, for a small fee, I can put up paid products as well as free ones and also puts you higher up the list of giveaways. Page 1 to 3 gets the most eyeballs on your freebies, whereas pages 4 to wherever (usually 10 to 12) get far fewer visitors.

Now I was starting to make sales a bit more frequently. Still not enough to pay all the bills, but certainly enough to bring back some confidence in what I should be doing. A couple of sales during the giveaway would pay the entry fee, but the higher number of subscribers meant I had more chance of grabbing sales through my emails later on.

(If you want to take part in a JV Giveaway, contact me and I’ll tell you when the next one is and help you set up a free gift or two if you need the assistance).

The Real Revelation

Positive Direction

It occurred to me that my traffic focus was still wrong in one way. Where I was sending my ‘casual’ traffic. Instead of sending it to my squeeze pages or other people’s products, I should be sending it to my blog and doing more there. Definitely now feeling like a positive direction.

I already know there’s lots of helpful information on my blog because I wrote it and put it there. I needed to tell more people about it and let them decide whether to visit a squeeze page, a product sale or somewhere else. More people visiting my blog means they get to know more about me, the person, rather than someone who keeps sending them value and sales emails all the time. It will build my ‘Know Like & Trust’ factor.

To really have a positive direction, you need a plan and one appeared in a sales video (of all places). In all honesty, the most amazing sales video I had ever watched. It didn’t feel like a sales video. It felt like a $100 webinar, such was the value that the speaker was giving. I took the plan offered (bought the product too) and turned into something I could look at daily – in fact, I made it a desktop background, so I couldn’t ignore it.

The Positive Direction Plan

  • Monday – write a blog post. That’s OK. I like writing and generally have a few ideas to write about.Make the posts mostly informative and not at all sales-y or even reviews. If they can be personal (like this one) or entertaining, so much the better.
  • Tuesday – promote the blog post on Facebook, in groups, anywhere that interested people will see it. You’re promoting yourself. Let readers decide if they want more of you.
  • Wednesday – Turn the blog post into a video. Well, I’d done videos before but I knew I needed to add my own voice and face to them – something my videos usually lacked. again there is the real requirement of self-promotion – with or without an ego, depending on your personality.
  • Thursday – Promote the video on social media and get some traction going
  • Friday – Spend some time working on a paid product of my own. Again I’d already done one or two but the topics were not well researched and didn’t really fill a market need.
  • Saturday – cue up affiliate offers and emails for the following week. Something I was already doing, except I was not pointing the Monday emails to my blog, so subscribers were not seeing my new posts (or older ones, if I wanted a lazier week).
  • Sunday – And Rest.

No daily activity should take more than 2 hours, so this was asking that I dedicate 10 to 12 hours a week. I knew I was doing more than that already, so cutting it down was fine in my book. Monday to Thursday, everything points back to the blog – either a new post or an existing one (in my case. New blog authors might not have that luxury for a while).

Where can you find this miracle-working sales page? It’s here – Affiliate Command.

Positive Direction

The End

Now I have this positive direction, I can feel things are going to change. People will be nudged gently into visiting the blog and will be able to decide for themselves where to go next. If they happen to go to a sales page, then that’s good. If it’s just to see what I have to say next week, then that’s good too. Sooner or later I will be able to show them something of interest.

Sure there’s work in it for me, but it will probably be less than I’m doing now and more directed. One day, I might even be directing you too, to your own success. I do hope so. I enjoy helping people to find their own Positive Direction.

Email Open Rates – 5 Things That Affect It

Email Open Rates – 5 Things That Affect It

Certain factors do influence email open rates. If you ignore these 5 elements of email marketing your email open rates will stink!

1. No Triggered Emails

Emails triggered automatically based upon the action of your recipient have the highest email open rates. If you don’t use autoresponders to send triggered emails your open rates will be lower.

The laemail subscribetest report released from Epsilon continues to note that – triggered emails open rates are 50.4% higher than BAU (business as usual) emails in the final quarter of 2016.

Using triggered emails (i.e. autoresponders) to respond immediately to the requests of your prospects and customers is paramount to email success.

Have in place automated emails that instantly send –

* Purchase Receipts
* Welcome Emails
* Abandoned Cart Notices
* Thank You Notes
* Information Fulfillment Messages

These emails simply based on the recency of the request will get opened. When you put an enticing offer into these triggered, transactional messages your opened email gets acted upon.

The latest Epsilon report further noted that click-through rates on triggered emails also are better. They reported a 106.3% higher click-throughs on triggered emails vs BAU (business as usual) emails.

2. Not a Recognisable – Nor a Reputable SenderPostbox Awesome Email

Again and again, studies show a major factor in why email open rates are poor is due to the recipient not recognising the sender.

If you’re constantly changing up your “From” email name and address people won’t recognise who you are and they’ll delete your email.

To increase your email open rates your recipients have to recognise you – the sender. To further improve your open rates, your subscribers need to trust you and know you’ll provide them good information or great deals or worthy entertainment.

To increase your open rates, improve your reputation. If you have a bad reputation because of the quality of the emails you send – CHANGE. Examine your emails to see if they’re –

* Boring
* Overly sales-y
* Often misleading
* Inconsistent in quality
* Or produce any negative thoughts for any reason

A poor reputation equals deleted unopened emails.

On the other hand, if the sight of your consistent, recognisable “From” name and email address generates excitement and enthusiasm, your email will get opened.

Put effort into your email marketing message, take pride in the messages you send and your subscribers will embrace you!

Another way to help is to have DKIM (Domain Keys Identified Mail) & SPF ( Sender Policy Framework) entries for your email domain, if it’s one you own and have control of.

3. Lousy Subject Lines

Is Email Dead

Subject lines play a major role in open rates. Dull and ho-hum subject lines that create no interest or suspense cause your email message to be left unread.

An outstanding subject line can intrigue individuals to open your message even if they don’t initially recognise who sent it. Be slightly controversial, use a question or make a really bold statement.

Take extra time when writing your subject lines and run tests to determine the most effective subject lines.

Use these subject line tactics to improve your email open rates:

– Personalization

The Experian Marketing Services’ 2016 Digital Marketer Report finds that emails with a personalised subject line had a 22% increase in email open rate vs a generic version. And a whopping 158% increase in click rate.

What data do you have stored about your subscribers?
* first name
* past purchases
* browsing interests
* location

Include one or more pieces of personalised data information in your subject and you’ll really grab the attention of your recipients.

A personalised subject line might be – “Robert, Get Healthy Eating Tips for Dads in New York!”

Don’t let it stop at the header either. Carry on using personalization in the email body too. Make it personal, get it read.

– Clear Language

Let subscribers know exactly what they will get if they read your message. Create a clear statement of your message’s value as your subject line. Using gimmicky or click-bait headlines will have people unsubscribing if they do get past your subject line.

– Concise

Shorter subject lines consistently perform better than longer subject lines. Place the most important verbiage at the start of your subject to ensure it is seen. You can almost think of your subject line as a tweet – you might have 140 characters, but try to get your message across in 80 to 100 letters to get it all in a mail client’s subject line.

4. Looks Like Spam

Yes, the “Look” of your email is important. If your message has the look of spam it will get tossed.Spam

As your recipients glance through their inbox making decisions to open, delete or read later – they evaluate the “look” of each email.

These 5 elements help a recipient decide if your message “looks” like spam or if it’s worthy of being read:

– Good Subject Line

A good subject line will get your email opened. A spammy subject will get your email trashed. Avoid ALL CAPS, bad spelling/grammar/punctuation and/or tricks like including “Re:”. Weird charcters might get attention, but only if people happen to look through their spam box.

– Small Size

Keep your message small. A small size means a short email that a recipient can review quickly so it is more likely to be opened. Bigger messages, in turn, are less likely to be opened.

– No Attachments

Don’t include attachments in your emails as it makes your email much less likely to be opened. People are very concerned about viruses. Attachments carry viruses. Attachments also take extra time and bandwidth to download.

If you have to share a file, don’t email it as an attachment. Instead, use a link to your file in the email. Then use a file sharing service to host the file for others to access it.
See: http://www.dropbox.com/

– Use a Pre-header

The pre-header is the content that is in the very top line of your email message. This pre-header message frequently is displayed after a subject line when an email is viewed in the inbox. Your pre-header snippet offers you another opportunity to sell your subscriber on opening your message.

– Effective Preview pane

Many of your recipients will also see your email in a preview pane. The preview pane allows them to view a small section of the top of your email to help them to decide whether to open it. Use the preview pane to include more teaser copy that entices the recipient to open the email and read further.

– Responsive display

Emails are often read on mobile devices, which is another reason to be careful about the content. Too many graphics or a font that doesn’t re-size to the screen could mean your email being left until the user is on a laptop or desktop, or deleted and not read at all.

– Too Many Links

Two or three links going to the same place is OK, but if you have several links, all going to different destinations, again the email could end up in the spam box and never even be seen by your subscribers. Too many spam reports will also kill the deliverability reports as well as email open rates.

5. Poor Timing

While timing is less of a factor in influencing a recipient to open your message, it still plays a part. If you send your email at busy times, it’s less likely to be noticed.
Timing, Time
Hartland Clark Digital recently reported that more emails are sent on Wednesday than any other day of the week and Saturday has the fewest emails sent. As a result, Wednesday has the lowest open rate while Saturday had the highest. You may have to investigate which days and at what time of day works best for your subscribers and customers to get the best email open rates.

Avoid making these 5 mistakes and you will improve your email open rates this year!

Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 Review – Affiliate Marketing, The Complete Training for the Advanced Beginner

Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 Review

Once upon a time, there was a system called Evergreen Wealth Formula, created by James Scholes. The system was good and it guided a number of people onto the online income ladder. In fact, it was so good that it sold for many years and is still on sale now…

…Well it would be except that James has been working on the successor to Evergreen Wealth Formula. Introducing Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0

What do you do if you’ve been trying to ‘do’ affiliate marketing for a while and not achieved much (or any) success?

You know that, in theory, you’re doing everything right, but everything that the gurus say should happen, just isn’t happening for you.

Or, what if you have a bit of online experience and want to get into internet marketing, but you’re not sure where to start?

Now you could buy almost everything in sight, study it all (well some of it, at least) and apply it. In fact, if you’re here from the ‘unsuccessful’ paragraph, it may be (almost) exactly what you’re doing, although probably not all of it.

The usual problem is persistence. People don’t stick to a given system for long enough for it to work.

The other problem is the system being incomplete, even ones declared as being ‘all you need’.

Either way, you can end up spending far more than you expected and not seeing the results you wanted.

Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 Review

Now there is a total solution. Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 and this review is here to help you.Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 Review

It starts with creating your own funnel – which is provided.

The ‘front-end’ is there, easy to personalise (with full instructions), the back-end ideas are in place for you too, not even needing your affiliate links and then there’s a total traffic system that, yes, you will have to do some work to set up initially, but once it’s done, it will carry on working for as long as you want or need.

What’s more, if you really get stuck, James is offering one-on-one email support.

You only need to be persistent enough to set everything up once (although you can ‘rinse and repeat’ to increase your income) and because everything you need is in the one package, there’s nothing else to buy, so no need to buy any more tutorial products to try to fill in the gaps.

Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 – The good bits

  • All the videos are pretty short, mostly around 8-12 minutes each which means that finding a specific bit of information is pretty easy. There’s one that’s nearly half an hour, but it needs to be to explain the outline of the unique traffic system that James introduces in Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0
  • Everything is explained as simply as it needs to be and no simpler. Nothing is broken down to ‘stupid’ level, so if you don’t understand something like basic web page editing after you’ve been shown in the videos, then give up, because the rest won’t be for you. Most people will not have a problem.
  • There is also very little repetition, a trick that some marketers use to bulk out the running time.
  • From a Brit’s ear view (?) – James’ accent is clear and easy to understand and I cannot imagine that anyone who has a good understanding of English will have a problem following what he is saying.

Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 – The not so good bits (from an absolute beginner’s point of view).

  • There’s a bit more spending required. Most people will have a domain & web hosting already and probably know about autoresponders. A free method around this is pointed out, but a few sales will soon have you earning enough to be able to pay for the ‘pro’ paid utilities – where you will get better service and more functionality.
  • There is also some investment in a software utility for the traffic system, but all being well, by the time the first payment comes around after the trial period, you should be in a position to afford it.
  • It’s ALL video. If you prefer to digest lessons via reading or listening, you’ve lucked out on this one. Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 is not unique in this though, so I don’t hold it too much against James.

The whole package ends up being a very good tutorial in setting up an affiliate sales-funnel, from introducing the product via a free front end, to establishing yourself as an expert and demonstrating the right amount of ‘push’ that should be done on the paid product. The traffic methods described are unusual but effective and certainly lead themselves to be a springboard to future ideas and products.

James Scholes himself is one of those silent experts. You can find his output if you know where to look, but you won’t find his name plastered all over social media and his only screenshots are something raising a tutorial point, not a display of his income.

Is Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 worth the price?

I would definitely say, absolutely yes. Unlike the all-to-common $7 packages, Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 is a complete end-to-end system and paying a bit more does tend to concentrate the mind to a higher degree. The support is there and the system itself is not so complex that no one will understand it, not so easy that people will feel aggrieved about the price.

There’s 28 videos totalling about 3 hours, plenty of links to extra resources and the aforementioned email support (always worth something when you have a direct line to the expert).

Also, there are no upsells, so you don’t pay the front-end price only to be told that the near-essential next package is all you need to complete the tutorial. With Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0, it’s all there out of the first (and only) box.

In my opinion, the only upsells there could possibly be would be the same videos provided in a physical form (DVDs etc) or a live, in-the-room training. You’d still come away knowing the same things in the end though.

All in all, Evergreen Wealth Formula 2.0 is something that will get you moving towards being a profitable affiliate marketer and at a very reasonable cost.

What’s an Intermediate Page and How Will An Intermediate Page Help You?

What’s an Intermediate Page and How Will An Intermediate Page Help You?

An Intermediate Page (in a marketing context) is one that you can put up between an email and an affiliate link to a sales page. The intermediate page serves as a pre-sell of an affiliate product and helps to screen out the less interested people.

You’d think that a properly written email might do that, but there are some who just click links without necessarily reading the surrounding text, or at least not absorbing the contents. There are also those who think ‘maybe I’ll just take a look’, without any real buying intention. An intermediate page will help to screen them out and help to improve your visitor to buyer conversion ratio – something that will definitely endear you to affiliate product producers. High conversion stats here help to encourage the big name affiliate sellers to sign up, so someone sending lots of visitors but few sales, is not really welcome at the sales page.

website

What should an Intermediate Page contain?

A list of the benefits would be a good start and if you have screen shots of some ‘inside pages’ they would help too. Anything that can raise the expectations of a real potential buyer and put off the ‘not-really-interested’. You don’t need to give away any procedures or product inside knowledge – you shouldn’t give away the farm, but hints and ideas could be helpful to turn an interested party into a customer.

Another way of doing an intermediate page is a pdf or video giveaway. It doesn’t have to be a full review or complete inside story, so long as it raises the interest and most importantly, contains your affiliate link – the same as the intermediate page must have. If you have your own bonuses to go with the product, make sure they get a mention and short description too, especially if they do something which supplements the potential of the product or fills in a gap in the knowledge supplied.

Keep the page simple. A couple of images and a clear call to action are probably all that’s really needed in addition to the text. If it’s a video, keep it to less than 3 minutes so that the people who know can decide quickly and the ‘don’t knows’ can be put off just as quickly.

Whichever method you use for an intermediate page – a web page or a pdf (or even both), make sure there is plenty of interest for the reader and enough information to let a real buyer know what they will be getting when they buy the product. It only needs to be said in a page or so – 500 to 800 words at most. There’s no need to bore your readers to death.

Do you have any methods for pre-screening potential buyers? Share your methods in the comments below.

Does it Cost You To Sell Cheap Products?

Does it Cost You To Sell Cheap Products?

Do you produce cheap products? A 20-page ebook? A 5-minute video? The sort of stuff that can be seen on sale all day long at $1-$10.

We all know that cheap products are aimed at the newbie market. Those who want to know better but can’t afford it (yet). But do they have a hidden cost? One that cannot be seen up-front. One that is costing YOU, the product creator or vendor!

The trouble with newbies is that they are, well, new to the game. As such, they need lots of guidance, lots of hand holding and see more value in volume than precise direction. That need for guidance means that you have to spend your time on support calls and emails. That need for volume means that you have to push the boat out for more and better ‘bonus extras’. And almost inevitably, it means more refunds as 2-day wonders (try the product for 2 days and wonder why it doesn’t work for them) want their small amounts refunded to them. Those who get as far as reading and acting upon the info in the first place.

What can you do about it?

Pack more info in, making it as ‘stupid-proof’ as possible. That’s a cost to you in more of your time? Outsourcing the support? Still a cost to you of course, and if you’ve paid out 100% to affiliates for a front-end product, where’s that money coming from to pay for your VAs?

There are a few ways of avoiding, or at list mitigating the problem.

One method is to only be an affiliate. Get out of the product creation game altogether at least for long enough to build a decent income from other sources first. Then support is somebody else’s problem and you can be the one collecting 100% of another person’s efforts.

Another method would be to make your products so simple that no one could get it wrong. Except that somebody always will. And it’s always someone who has the loudest mouth and is willing to blacken your name from one end of the internet to the other.

My final offering as a solution is to up your game a little and change your target market.

Yes, there is always a fresh supply of newbies, but that also means there is a fresh supply of human stupidity to trip you up.

A lot of people, spending a small amount of money can make you a small and probably decent income.

But could you aim a little higher, at people who have as much or maybe even a little more knowledge than you, but who appreciate how much work actually goes into a well-researched project? People who know that knowledge does cost time and money but are still willing to let someone else do that research for them. People who are willing to pay that little bit more.

A good $47 to $97 product where the information or research is well laid out should do very well as the opening product. The price is high enough to make a newbie think twice before adding to his credit card without making an experienced marketer think twice as it would be easily covered by his own earnings.

By targeting the more experienced person, straight away you will have far less effort in support. Experienced people know the basics and probably know where to find any more info that they need.

At these price points, affiliates are ‘only’ expecting 50% of the purchase price, but that’s still more for both of you than you’d get off a $7 offering. Sure, there’d be fewer sales by quantity, but it would be worth far more to you in the longer run (and you’re getting a percentage of the front-end price and not relying on back-end sales to make your income).

Higher prices tend to mean a more evergreen product. Something that will sell for much longer. It will seldom be the product-of-the-day, but your product will be there for a long time after the POTDs have been forgotten.

So what is stopping you from creating these higher priced items? Is it confidence in your knowledge? You probably know more than you think you do. A quick look around at many forums and groups will give you a level of comparison. The same places will provide you with ideas for your product’s main theme, if you’re lacking in that department.

I might even suggest that if you are lacking in confidence then should you be creating any products, let alone the mid-level ones I’m suggesting here. However, creating is as much about YOU learning as your customers, so why not just go for it anyway? And if the worst comes to the worst and you don’t feel that your new creation is up to being a stand-alone product, at least you’ll have an upsell for your next $7 release.

What’s your opinion? I want to know so tell me below.

JV Giveaways Update Report

JV Giveaways Update Report

I have to say that I’ve done quite well out of JV Giveaways this past 4 weeks. Although sales haven’t been huge, I have got a good number of new subscribers and learned a few more lessons myself – especially about checking links after moving domains to new hosting.

I did 2 JV Giveaways, spaced 2 weeks apart, so basically as one finished, the next one began and on the 2nd one I did the paid upgrade ‘thing’ to get more gifts which I did not do on the first.

The first JV Giveaway gained me 6 new subscribers through my 2 gifts and I made one sale of $10. I sent traffic from Herculist for which I am a paid member – meaning I can send to 74,000+ members every day. I won’t say it’s hugely responsive but for $24 for a year, I think it is good value. As I can’t trace the open rate, I don’t know exactly how many people saw it out of the total membership it was emailed to, but given that I got 46 sign-ups to the JV Giveaway site I can guess that somewhere between 500-1000 people read the email and a quarter of those clicked through to the site.

The second JV Giveaway (still in progress as I write – but only for 3 more days) has gifted me 31 more subscribers through my 8 gifts and 2 sales of a $1 product I put up. The upgrade cost me $7, so although I’m not ‘quids-in’, the cost per subscriber has been very cheap. I did come unstuck with one of my gifts as it wasn’t stored where it used to be, so I had a couple of complaints from the JV Giveaway organiser plus the subscribers. However, once I’d corrected the error and told the subscribers about the new location (adding in a bonus gift and thanking them profusely for their patience and understanding) all was good once more. As before, I used Herculist to send visitors.

Moral: Never assume. Check. Even on a long-standing squeeze page.

JV Giveaway marketplace

Words of wisdom:

  1. Go for the upgrade, the extra exposure is worth the tiny amount of money.
  2. WordPress plugins attract a lot of attention. Pick one or two good ones as your gifts.
  3. Based on the above, I suspect that paid WordPress plugins might do better as sales items too.
  4. Apology bonuses for complaints do soothe the savage subscriber. One of the complaints emailed me again afterwards, thanking me (in a surprised tone of email) for the extra gift. Good customer service pays dividends.
  5. Don’t knock safelists as a traffic source. Herculist definitely has its uses.

Using Andy Waring’s KISS document was a great method for setting up a couple of funnels in short order in time to get a full quota of 8 gifts for the 2nd JV Giveaway. With a sales funnel on the other side of them and a  good line up of follow-up emails too, there could well be future sales in line there.

Having set up a non-IM KISS funnel now, I will see how well that does in the next JV Giveaway that I do. Following that, I will try and join a new JV GIveaway each week and use them as my primary list-building source. If you need to know when the next one is, drop me a line at admin@stevenlucasmarketing.com and I’ll let you know dates and locations.

Keep It Stupidly Simple

Keep It Stupidly Simple

It’s an old adage. “Keep It Stupidly Simple” and it’s an old adage because it’s true. Keep things so easy to do so that people who do it cannot fail, no matter how dumb they are. In other words, make your instructions easy to follow and make sure people actually take action. Usually, they can, simply because the instructions were easy.

Andy Waring, otherwise known as The Beginners Friend, has come up with one of those stupidly simple ideas and has released it to his closed Facebook group to try it. As it stands, I and one other member have stated that we have started on the project and we’re now using the low-cost traffic method Andy suggested to see how things go. I’ve also added another low-cost traffic source – Herculist, to see how that plays out too. Keep It Stupidly Simple

So what is the Keep It Stupidly Simple System?

Well if I told you, I’d have to kill you, because Andy would probably come after my blood. After all, he’s a marketer too and wants to make money teaching it, but I’m not letting the cat out of the bag by telling you what it’s not and I can also tell you what you’ll need to get started. Here’s Andy’s KISS Document.

The first thing it’s not is a Big Money Earner, but it’s not designed to be one either. It is designed for the newbie to make their first few dollars. This, in turn, will give them the confidence they need to attempt to go for more, as well as the knowledge and experience of having done, what will turn out to be, a series of complex tasks broken down to keep it easy to follow. Keep It Stupidly Simple, indeed.

You will need the following:

  • Hosting – it doesn’t have to be paid hosting and a domain, although it will look slightly better on you if it is. This will actually work with free hosting provided it has a decent web page editor or at least, FTP access.
  • Autoresponder – You’re going to be collecting email addresses if you’re sensible and you’ll need a way of re-contacting them over and over again. My recommendation is Get Response or Sendlane. Either one will make it easy for you.
  • An affiliate account – JVZoo, WarriorPlus or Clickbank are easy to get started with. They’re all free to join. Keep It Stupidly Simple is based around Internet Marketing products, based on the traffic methods Andy is sharing, but in the long run, the system will work in any niche so long as you have a good, targeted traffic source.
  • Some time – This goes without saying really. Although you could outsource practically all the work, the assumption is that you’re a newbie on a budget. You trade your time instead of spending your money. 5 to 8 hours per Keep It Stupidly Simple site is more than enough. As Andy himself says, “Imperfect Action is better than inactive perfection”.

Although there are one or two other things you will need, to tell you much more would give the game away. Read the KISS Guide instead.

Keep It Stupidly Simple – Time & Cost

All I will say for now is that my first site is set up and the recommended traffic sources are engaged. It has cost me about 5 hours total in time and $10 in money as I have all of the other requirements already in place. Even if they weren’t already there it wouldn’t have cost me much more than that in money and maybe a few extra hours of time.

Keep a look out for a future post when I’ll let you know how my Keep It Stupidly Simple site has done with my low-cost traffic. Maybe by then, I’ll be in a position to let you know more about what there is to do and some tools to make it easier.

If you want to visit my site it’s here – Business Boom Audios. Yes, it’s a squeeze page but it’s well worth it for you. And I’ll let you know that even though it’s free, there are some bonus items behind the closed doors. Go see for yourself.

JV Giveaway – What Is It?

JV Giveaway – What Is It?

Joining a JV Giveaway is a big thing at the moment. They have had a bit of a revival over the last few months. Even big name marketers are running them, and they must work otherwise why would big names like Reed Floren and Andy Waring even be getting involved with them.

Simply put, a JV Giveaway is when a group of marketers get together and jointly offer a number of freebies from each of them. A short description of each freebie is advertised on a common site and everybody sends traffic to that site. To get the freebie a visitor has to sign up through a squeeze page as normal, but whilst on the site, they will see plenty of free offers from all of the JVs (known as contributors). This gives all the JVs a chance to get new subscribers.

JV Giveaway plans

There are usually extra complexities in that JVs who send more visitors get their giveaways pushed higher up the list, so there is an incentive to get as many people as possible to see the site. JVs who buy an introductory offer (usually only a few dollars) get upgraded to being a ‘paid contributor’ and can usually show more freebies and in some cases, be allowed to display a paid offer through a banner or text ad.

The usual way of running a JV Giveaway is via an established system which runs 2-weekly giveaways and attracts a co-sponsor to be the ‘lead name’ on a giveaway.

The leading system at the moment runs giveaways for 2 weeks and has a new one starting each Tuesday and Friday – in other words, up to 8 giveaways a month with up to 4 running at any one time, assuming there are enough co-sponsors.

How to Become a Contributor

You become a contributor by being invited by either the co-sponsor or another contributor – basically, you have to know someone who’s already ‘inside’. Once you’ve contributed once, you will be contacted by the main system each time a new JV Giveaway is announced (i.e. a new co-sponsor has been found).

Once you’ve been invited into a JV Giveaway, all you need to start with is an existing squeeze page. You’ll be asked to enter various details into a form – the bare basics are a giveaway name, the squeeze page, the direct download page, a short description (up to 50 words) and a long description (up to 300 words). You’ll also be asked for a support email address and a value for the giveaway.

As a free contributor, you’ll only be allowed 1 or 2 giveaways whereas, if you buy the paid product you’re offered when you sign up ($3 to $10), you could be allowed up to 8 giveaways, as well as text ads and banner offers.

If you don’t already have a squeeze page or think you don’t have anything you could use as a giveaway, the co-sponsor will often add some PLR for people to use, but bear in mind that a lot of people could be using the same stuff and to stand out you have to offer something different. This could be time to dig out some PLR or MRR that’s been hiding on your hard drive for a while.

You may see rules about ‘nothing over 2 years old’ or ‘no duplicate offers’, but I have yet to see these strongly enforced. You are also expected to send visitors to the JV Giveaway site and people who send no-one could be expelled from the JV Giveaway, so there are 2 reasons why you need to send traffic – even if you just buy 50 clicks from a solo ad vendor.

A recent idea that being used is that you can pay a small fee and actually buy your way further up the list. For a fee, you can buy a certain number of points and distribute them amongst your giveaways. If you don’t have much of an email list, this is one way to get seen first. The fee also ‘fireproofs’ you from not sending visitors, so there’s a bit of protection there too.

How to be a Member and Get Your Free Giveaways

This is the really easy bit. You have to either know where the giveaway sites are or be invited by a co-sponsor or contributor. As stated before, contributors like inviting new members as it pushes their freebies higher up the list and, as with search engines, the stuff on page one gets the first visibility and therefore the most clicks.

Once you’re in, you are free to browse around and look through the list of giveaways to see what you’d like to get. You will have to sign up to a squeeze page and chances are, you may have seen some of the stuff before, but there is also a lot of newer and unseen items on offer.

Some canny marketers use JV Giveaways as a testing ground for new squeeze pages (including A/B testing variations) and newly written freebies. Anything that gets good feedback can then be put out into the wider world.

For the most part, the giveaways tend to be internet marketing oriented, but you will occasionally find stuff for other niches, mindset products and WordPress plugins and themes useful for all marketers. Very often, the giveaways are the whole PLR package and not just the ebook. Once or twice, contributors have offered multi-part video courses so it’s not just old PLR ebooks.

I Want In to the Next JV Giveaway

If you decide you want to join in the next JV Giveaway then please feel free to drop me an email (admin@stevenlucasmarketing.com) and tell me whether you’d like to be a contributor or a member. If you need help to set up a squeeze page, either because you need a product or need help to set a squeeze page up, then I’d be more than willing to help. Again, contact me by email.

I look forward to seeing you on the inside.

Practice Should Make Perfect – Eventually

Practice Should Make Perfect – Eventually

Well I know one thing… It’s been ages since I posted here so I should at least explain what I’ve been up to.

In some ways, not a lot although in other ways, quite a lot. I’ve been appearing more on social websites, mostly Facebook and Twitter, offering assistance and pearls of wisdom to those who want to see it. This has got me a lot more friends and followers on both and so is increasing my brand and web presence, to the point now where I’m being asked to join product creation groups and accountability partnerships. The former – well I’ve tried a couple and although the initial interest was there from the others, things and stuff got in their way and it all came to naught. The latter needs a bit more success to demonstrate on my part to make sure of what I’m telling someone really is worth telling.

My income has been climbing. It’s slow but I can see an improvement and it seems to coincide with financial or hard work on my part – so finding the right things to do is getting results, then it’s just a matter of doing more of the same.

One thing I have found that is fun and easy (mostly) is via a system called Affiliate Tube Jacker. It explains a very simple way of ranking a video on Google via YouTube in a matter of a few minutes, then, assuming it ranks high enough, actually creating the video via another simple method.

One thing I have learned from this is that I need to work on my presentation skills. I am full of ‘erm, err’, mis-pronunciations and stuttering over my words. However, I know this will improve with practice, something that I can do offline as well as online.

Here’s an example of my early work. Things (as they say), can only get better…

In case you’re interested – $2k Pay Days is well worth investigating and better without my commentary! At the time of writing though, the video was in top place on Google for 2k Pay Days and 2k Pay Days Review as seen here:

I got the video to that position in only 13 minutes too! As you can see though, there is no competition for the keyword and finding that sort of product is part of the secret. For the rest, you’ll have to look at Affiliate Tube Jacker for yourself. I can’t give it all away (grin).

So although my earnings won’t set the world alight just yet, I can confidently say that taking action does bring results, which brings me round to the question…

Are YOU taking action too? If you are, tell me in the comments box below, what you’re doing and how it’s doing for you.

If you’re not taking action, why not? Are you stuck on something? Don’t be afraid to ask for help as getting over that little hurdle may well lead you on to bigger and better things.

As always, please feel free to share this article socially by using the buttons below and if you want to stay in regular contact with me, join my list at http://www.mmss.site/free  You get a free ebook of Online Passive Income Ideas to help you get started and there’s always more advice and free give-aways sent out with my emails, which, by the way, are not all sales and hype.

Let’s hope it’s not too long before my next update on here as I’m sure there’ll be more to tell you about soon. And perhaps better voice overs too!
