Clickbank pays up

Well that was a nice surprise today. A cheque from Clickbank. OK so it was only for $90 but the good thing is, that I only have one site with any Clickbank stuff up on it and I don’t promote that site at all, so it’s all been random people finding it. The site www.aymayzin.com has been up for 6 months and was going to be an Amazon review site, but as I didn’t have time to go and do reviews I thought I’d throw CB Chief at it and see what came up. Now 50c a day isn’t great but just imagine if I had promoted the site and then rinse and repeat on more sites.

CB Chief is a WordPress plugin that goes out and seeks high gravity Clickbank products and grabs pictures and words from the sales page, then creates a blog post for you. This then links to the sales page with your affiliate name attached. Very simple. Even better – you can set it to grab up to 100 products based on keywords you select and punch them out at predetermined intervals, so your site auto updates with constant new content. So you can throw this into your regular blog and add a weekly update or make separate blogs around different niches to have dedicated products available for them. At $37 for a developers license (unlimited blogs), it’s a no brainer. If you only want to use it once, then it’s $7 to you and still takes no thought. I’ve had no trouble with the plugin. It doesn’t crash anything else and is not a resource hog either.

So what else is happening in my world? I’ve redirected a couple of short domain names (I only bought them because they were 5 letter .com pronounceable words) to some other Clickbank products and I’ll do a little promotion on them although I don’t have any squeeze page in front of them, just to see how they do on their own. www.sazaz.com www.favle.com & www.sloby.com should you feel the need for a visit.

The domain names I advertised a couple of posts ago are still available – buykindle2.com, wsmftnwso.com and know-all.info – all have some age and a good bit of life to them. $10 each. Just contact me through [email protected] if you’re interested. You will need a free GoDaddy or Namecheap account to transfer them to (depending on where they’re currently residing).

I’ve also found out how to connect the RSS feed from my WordPress blogs to my GetResponse list (I don’t know if Aweber can do the same. Let me know below if it can.) so that whenever a new post goes up and email goes out to my list. Hopefully might get a few more visitors and also, if you want to know whenever a new post goes up – sign up to the list either at the top or on the side – both join the same list. There’s also more freebies not mentioned here as well as more advice and help from me. I know I’m not the world’s greatest IM success story yet, but as I do get more to shout about, then I will be shouting and sharing. If you want to play the same game, let me know and I’ll write an article about it soon.

Also coming soon, my report on Ello – the new social networking site that’s boasting of it’s plainness, simplicity and total lack of advertising. Will it be something for marketers or at least to tell about new creative efforts (Product creation of course)? I’m going to spend some time with it and find out. Currently it’s invitation only whilst it’s in Beta and I may be able to get some invitations to give away. Let me know if you want one.
